A Minnesotan with Swedish roots (not referring to the hair—those roots are my business), I became Paul's wife and moved to Kansas City. I was a Word Person at Hallmark Cards—senior editor and writer-in-residence for New Product Development—until I left the corporate world to teach our sons at home.
I loved my years as a homeschool mom and freelance writer. And when the time came to move, I enjoyed designing the little home we built in Winfield, Kansas, the town where music takes center stage. I found my place as a singer-songwriter in an acoustic musician's most welcoming town. Working at a private Christian school, I was invited to teach art. So I self-trained and received mentoring from artists such as Amy Harvey, Mona Brookes, and Mark Flickinger, to whom I will always be grateful. It has allowed me to live the life I now love, that of a visual artist. I spend my days drawing and painting, giving private lessons, and accepting all kinds of commissions...while helping my husband run a racetrack and a couple of his other side hustles. Now I'm letting the entrepreneur in me have a shot at things. I hope you find something you'll enjoy...be it Words, Pictures, or Music...in my little online store.
